i've spent a lot of time tonight thinking about what's important in my life, and i want to thank those of you who have been a part of it.

please note that i do get rather sappy when drunk, but i think this feeling is genuine.

talk about a long story; the short version is "up and down," but i guess more downs than ups, what with managing dad's real estate "empire" and the litigation and time/stress it entails interfering with and/or demolishing my personal and professional aspirations, though i have the hope of eventually using it to perhaps pursue aspirations more dear to my heart - but only time will tell if that potentiality obtains.
