Debating between

AMD Phenom quad core at 1.8ghz / 6gb ram / ATI vid card
or
Intel I5 at 2.3ghz / 4gb ram / Intel Hd Gfx

Have always ran AMD, but with the new Iboards out it is a difficult decision.
All I know about the Iboards really is that instead of running at 4 cores at all times like AMD, they run 1 core at all times but the other cores initiate when they are needed.

Any body care to share experiences with laptops??

are you sure it's not 4 gb amd 6 gb intel?

amd usually has dual/quad channel memory, whereas intel has tri/hex channel


amd has been good to me fwiw. but i don't use laptops
