where did I say that you were wrong Jim? All I said was that you can get more than 1 prof point from a multistrike, I never said that it always happens, but that there is a chance for it (possibility of getting more than 1 proficiency point from multiattack) to happen, based on what I have seen from experience
I don't need to think through all the possibilities to tell you something that I have seen from experience (getting more than 1 point from a multistrike). For that matter, I don't care about all the possibilities of getting more than one point, all I know is that you can get more than 1 point.
All I was saying was that those who said "you CANNOT get more than 1 point", are wrong.
Hmm... I never said that you said I was wrong????? Just said there was more possibilities to rolling prof and why Wes gained a higher amount than Nick. If you took it differently you misunderstood me.
I'm just saying the way that this was went about is insufficient and doesn't tell the whole story. I never said you don't get prof from multistrikes, I said depending on percentage charged you may have lower chances to roll a prof. A safety programmed into the game to prevent prof farming. Judging by the vastly different play styles of Nick and Wes, and also judging by the actions, it is easy to see that Nick was releasing his charges at a much lower percentage, which has obviously affected his prof gain. And no one seems to have taken that into account.
Just saying "you CAN get more than one point" leaves the door WIDE open and doesn't tell the whole story. There is more to it than that. It would be premature and insufficient to take the results produced and consider them how the game works. Because there is so much more not taken into account.
I do know you can get more than one point per a multistrike, multiheal, or some other ability. I've witnessed it as you did. You are 100% correct by saying that. But I guess what I would consider wrong is saying Swords get more prof than daggers. To me that seems what is trying to be concluded here, and I would say that is incorrect. The playing field wasn't level, the abilities were not played the same.
