what im looking for is different classes. gear is a must. gameplay and pvp should be atleast semi decent. something along the lines of www.dofus.com
so heres a quicky list:
must have lots of classes
different types of elements and stats (for example, dofus had intelligence, agility, strength, and chance which increased with the more points you put in/gear you wore and increased damage of those stat based spells.)
things i tried and didnt like:
perfect world (dunno just couldn't get into it.)
WoW (lol)
so nothing along those lines
5 fg for a game i may play for a couple days
100 fg for a game i would get addicted to.
Dark Age of Camelot
2 week trial account is free to play, monthly subs after that, although they have freeshards i hear but not played them myself.
3 different realms each with PVE zones to level up in aswell as PVP zones where you fight the other 2 realms aswell as being able to PVE (for more xp, since you will probably get ganked sooner or later), 11-13 classes depending on which realm aswell as multiple races with different starting stats. Decent crafting system aswell as monsters to farm for items, very established game (7+yrs old) but has fairly realistic graphics, not all cartoony like WOW/WAR.
The PVE is good, you can level up quite fast, groups are a max of 8, but you can form battlegroups for raids of unlimited numbers. Servers are clustered which means there are enough players around to group with and fight in the PVP zones.
PVP is something else, i have tried a lot of games, none come anywhere near DAoC PVP, there's castles and towers to take over including being able to use Rams, catapults etc to knock them down, NPC guards protect them as well as players, but there are tons of abilities you can unlock/buy to help. The classes have a lot of variety so there is no "win" class for all situations, casters deal out crazy damage, but there are a lot of magic resist abilities that can cripple them and they cannot normally cast when being attacked by melee, not without using special abilities on timers that have to be bought with realm points (PVP points you get for killing enemies).
http://www.darkageofcamelot.com/ and follow the link for the 14 day trial. You may have to enter a CC number to start, but it doesn't have to be a legit one, lol, not sure if they still ask for it, was a long time ago when i last used the trial.
I've been playing for 5 yrs or so, still better by far than anything else i have tried, well worth a try, just takes a bit of getting used to the interface as it's not as customisable as WOW/WAR, although there are some UI nice mods to use.
