Ok so i started playing for a bit and theres no quests so i thought ok then what do i do? i guess i started scavenging while avoiding zombies even though in real life id rather fight them...so i started meleeing with a torch and it does no damage 50 hits later and i killed one wow....

i guarantee irl i could smash a zombies skull in with a few hits. so after scavenging for 10 minutes i was already bored so i went to item shop and bought an axe and decided to start meleeing zombies.

i died because of the games error with melee the combat system sux and i lost the axe in under 1 minute from the slowest zombie ever created. so that put me right off the game but i still want to play and ''want'' to love the game..

The map is massive but its boring ,no quests , im meant to scavenge like a child the whole game? irl id just slaughter them but i cant in this game apparently you cant survive with force.............................................

state of decay sucked to in fact i havent played a good zombie game ever, games are failing me these days in a big way especially the horror genre.

my question is wtf am i meant to do? and i heard about modders so im only playing pve. do i level up i dunno im lost...

Well for one, try aiming slightly above the head when meleeing them since the hit box isn't that big. Hacking and smacking a zombie at the body does almost no damage thus why it would take ages to kill, but if you aim for the head they would go down faster. The main catch of the game is the thrill of being alert at all times for other players out there as well that's looking for blood. so its a slow build up from there once you can build up a decent amount of gears.

I knoq qhat your saying dude but a real life zombie isnt an uber diablo it wouldnt take 30 hits if im hitting the head, i dont really get any thrill because i have to be a weakling and avoid everything.

Im 6'3 220 irl i could slaughter these zombies melee easily but in this game its like fighting uber diablo with oak sage..

because i dont feel like this game is accurate at all...

U should buy guns bro i can sell u! one shot in the head and the zombie is dooown!
or a hatchet and macheste is like 2 hits in the head so easy. U just need some skills and u will get all the zombies in 3-2 hits, no prob!

Forgot to add blunt weapons are truly blunt.. so gotta pick up something sharp to cave in their skull. but yeah I know what you mean, BACK IN THE DAYS when I only had a flashlight.. fml...
