that makes me laugh since most of the stuff i hear about DayZ is about hackers ruining servers over and over again.
One of the reasons i didn't play it.

Well as someone who plays DayZ a lot I've encountered maybe 2-3 hackers within the span of 4 months

Ran into a hacker everyday on WarZ
