Hi!

This thread is supposed to bring up a discussion about why we can't discuss RMAH on the forums. this is NOT a thread to try and find any info on RMAH or what ever. This is strictly a discussion/suggestion about the rules of the forums with regards to RMAH. I hope this won't grant me any warns, as I've seen ppl discussion the RMAH have gotten. If I'm missing something please let me know but here is how I see it.

From what I've understood any topics regarding the RMAH is forbidden and punished. I had a look at the rules and this is the only rule I can find that is an explanation to why that's the case:

Rule 17: "No monetary sales of anything on, from, or through this site, including, but not limited to: accounts, virtual goods, forum gold, CD-keys."

This says that you may not use d2jsp to sell stuff for real money, and thats fair. However, blizzard has included a feature in the game that gives us the option to sell stuff for real money. Why is a legitimate part of the game off bounds on the forums?

things I think should be allowed to discuss in the strategy and guide forum is things like what items are profitable to sell on RMAH compared to normal AH (with regards taken to gold prices and relative presence of the different currencies) and how to find/sell good items on RMAH.

I can't see a reason for this, unless it is considerd as discussing a competing service since you can at least buy items indirectly from JSP (by buying FG with RM and then buying items/gold with the FG). If that is the case I think it's a bit strange - the forums is about the games we play, and if we aren't allowed to discuss all legitimate ways to play it, what's the point?

If this IS in violation of any rules feel free to lock this thread, but if that is the case, I would be glad to get a reference to what thought process is behind the decision!
