My suggestion is to bump the avatar dimensions max from 64 x 64 to something a bit bigger, like 100 x 100. I will leave the adjusted size up to njaguar if this is ever implemented, this topic is simply to vote on the idea of adjusting it. My reasons for wanting avatars a bit bigger is because most avatars you make / find will not be very good quality, because it's just too small to see. Not much can go in in the avatar, and its a pain to edit one until it looks nice with the given size.

NOW before everyone says NO, will make site slower!! Bandwith blah blah. Stop, i have considered this, and it will truly be up to njaguar to decide whether or not to change it knowing the site may become a bit slower. But he can easily make adjustments to make up for the slight change in speeds.

The current size is fine.

Also the max 50 kilobytes is good enough.

50 kb is not what i am asking. Size can still be adjusted to under 50 kb on most avas, and if you can't then use a smaller one.

"The current size is fine." why do you say that?

Even with the 64x64 standard, alot of people tend to get over it in both dimensions and kb.
Having a new rule allowing 100x100 will only make things worst in term of rule violations and also slow down the loading of topic pages for some people.

Voted No.

/e : I mean, if you raise it up to 100x100, there will be more violations, it's not needed. As most traded forums use that type of avatar, i don't really see why it should be needed here.
Also, having an avatar almost as big as your sig is kind of, weird. That's an opinion tho.
