I was scammed. A lot of us, I presume, have been scammed at one point in our d2jsp careers. But it doesn't have to be that way. I propose a search function, similar to that in existence in the diablo trade forums, in the scammer accusations forum.

Why do I propose this? Because I believe this search function can help decrease the amount of scams that occur, and limit the amounts of scams individual scammers can obtain.

If I search the SA forum for the username of an individual, and DO NOT see any search results, it is likely that the searched user is not a scammer. Life goes on...

If I search the SA forum for the username of an individual, and DO see at least one search result, I now know to use mediator or receive first during the transaction with the searched individual.

Searching in the present through the SA forum is tedious as it stands (I have to sort through hundreds of threads), I feel as though my suggested feature could do a lot of good for the community. I was scammed, and I don't intend on being scammed again. What am I supposed do to warn others... stalk the posts of the member of scammed me so that I can warn others? I wish others could have their own tools to search the accusation (with proof) I made of that scammer. :)

What do you guys think?

The problem is that this would encourage people to make false accusations, or even try to get friends to make false ones as well, increasing the results in the search for that user. A user is a normally ranked trader, unless they are tagged, regardless of any accusations made without enough proof.

Also, always use a mediator for your trades : How To Request A Mediator And Prevent Scams.
You could always check his recent posts/topics to give you an idea with who you are dealing with.

I also agree to what RaveTheGo said.
