Hey jsp.

With this add I think it will be alot easier to contact staff when needed.
http://forums.d2jsp.org/staff.php
If we add a notebox in here , where you can for example write that you need to be contacted by a mod / report violations that cannot be reported with the report-button.
It will get easier to track down people who need direct help from staff with questions or whatever.
And also easier to track down violations that cannot be reported with report post-button.

Cheers.

Absolutely! I love this! Even in their moderator list it's still pretty out dated with moderator profiles and new moderators that have been established.

A PM is sufficient enough, in my opinion, for contacting staff about violations and such.

Voted no, sorry.

Np.
However: When you pm a mod, there will allways be a chance that the mod allready wen't afk for the day/night.
So, if you can just type your message in a notebox, and send that message to a closed archive for mods only that f.ex: "I need a mod to pm me".
Then a mod will pm you and stay until your conversation is done, and somehow approve that "the message has been replied to", to prevent multiple mods to pm you.
Much better imo.

But then again, as you said. It should be enough, though it's not.

I tried to report the same topics for 4 days now(4 multiple topics - early bump -), pm'ed 2 mods(several hours in between), reported most of the early bumps he made regarding that trade for 4 days.
And topics are still being early bumped(Not closed).

So tell me, is it Really enough? ;)

Absolutely not, will just add more work that is not needed.

Simply Pm the appropriate staff member.

Read this guide if you aren't sure whom to report too: Where Do I Have To Report If...?

More work?
With this, Reporting any matter will be easier.
Tracking any violation wiill be as easy as it is now, just that More mods can track it at the same time!
I am sure who to report to, But it does not work.
As I mentioned about the topic I've been reporting...
If it worked to just pm any mod who says "Deals with: Violations in the trading grounds" , the topics would've been closed allready after the first pm I sent to a mod.
And if the report button worked I wouldn't even have to pm a mod in the first place.

Do you ever think of the work you are putting on us, Normal members w/o tag. It's not us who are to deal with violations.. You become tagged for a reason. and that reason is to help tracking down violations, helping to make this site clean(er).
But this can't possibly give you more work.
Easier to track reports(As it's text-based), Actions will be taken as soon as ANY mod sees the report. And you don't ahve to search for a mod that is online, you can just write down the report, send it, and wait for answer.

We volunteer our free time, this isn't a job for us.

If you PM'd a member of the staff and no action was taken it is either because it has not been reviewed yet, or there is no action required.

We review every single report and take action if it is needed.

When you pm a mod, just make it clear in the title that you need help instead of "hi".
It's common sense.

I don't think contacting a person can be easier than that.

You don't have to doubt my reports guys.
I don't think anything would be easier than just haveing an archive that only mods can see.
Where they can pick out violations, Add a comment that you're dealing with it, take action, and close the report when it's dealt with!

No more work, No confusions on who is dealing with what, and easier for us users without tag to report issues that can't be reported with report-button.
It can also be used to ask questions, and a mod will answer (going through the same progress):
They see a new thread, They post "I'm dealing with it", They take actions - Answering the one who asked the question through pm, and then closes the thread when it's dealt with.

Contacting staff is easy, and as always, they'll only act when they feel like it so unfortunately, no - PM them or use the contact feature at the bottom of the site.
