Spam is something that is off-topic.
A spam thread is a thread about something that shouldn't be in the subforum it was posted in.
A spam post is a post that is irrelevant to the thread.

You can make threads about topics that don't fit in any specific subforum in General Chat, and you are not allowed to make spam posts anywhere.
