Hi,
i know the 4 hour bump rule is essential to keep the trade section clear and clean. Also I don't see any need to change the bump rule for trading posts.

But when offering a service like e.g. glitched kulle runs or rushes you have a continous flow of people which join and leave your games. Being only able to bump all 4 hours reduces the possibility to keep your run full and effective.

Furthermore people who are searching runs will just create a new service thread in which that one people is searching for a run/rush. If you imagine that daily hundrets of people do this runs you will notice that if everyone creates his own ISO topic the overview of that forum will be gone.

So i suggest that you try to remove the bump rule temporaly for service threads for testing purposes e.g. for 1 day at first and thereafter maybe permanent if there are no problems. Other possibiliy could be reducing the bump rule to only half an hour on service posts.

Bump.

Just look up yourself in Diablo 3 services category. You can't do a service because after max. 20-30mins one or all of the guys which joint first will be gone and you are not able to fill up the slots...

Useless rule for service threads imho.

Without the bump rule there will be MASS self bumps. Flooding the whole page. This will never work nor will it be tested. You should listen to the mods and not get smart.

Why would be self bumping so bad (btw. the 4 hour bump is mostly a self-bump, too)? You could just reduce the bump time to 0,5h or 1h for example. Because many people keep their service only a couple of hours per day up, the bumping would only be temporary. When they stop the service, there will be no more bumping.

I don't get the point.

If you run your service atm -> bump useful for you and useful for guys searching that service. Active services (with online offerer) on first pages.

If you don't run your service atm -> you won't bump your thread, so that other active services will be on top pages.

atm your active service will be lost on page 5+ in a couple of minutes...

For example:
I have 3h time for running my service, so I bump my Kulle leveling service thread. Nice, I get 3 people, so party full. After 30mins 1-2 guys leave the runs and then? 1. I am fucked because I can't get the party full again(3,5h more waiting for bump). 2. I just create a new thread or bump within bump "cooldown".

You do not need to bump your thread to update it. If lets say you need 3 people for a run. 1 person posts. You can post that you are still looking for 2. Then 2 people post filling your game, you start the run and 1 guy leave, you can then post that you are iso 1 person. An early bump is 2 back to back posts within 4 hours. so after your post iso 1, and no one answers... you have to wait 4 hours before bumping it. You are not allowed to make new posts to get around the bump rule either.
