i know it's illegal to post scammer accusations in the trade forums.. my suggestion is to let people post a warning about scammers in the trade forums without the thread getting closed, just so that people can be warned about the accused scammer.. the way i see it, if somebody scams once they're gonna try to scam as much as they possibly can before they actually get locked/tagged.. and how are people gonna know unless they check in the s/a section before every trade.. i feel that this would cut down on alot of people being scammed by the same person..

i mean people should still definitely put a post in s/a.. but just don't close the topics in the trade forums so more people can be cautious about accused scammers before they actually get locked

idk if this makes alot of sense the way i worded it, if somebody gets the idea and can put in better words it'd be much appreciated

Way too many false accusations would be put.

well they could make it where false accusations result in warn/ban

The problem with this is that it could, and definitely would be abused. People could post 'warnings' about people in the Trading Forums, thus possibly ruining their reputation for no reason. People would post things like that just to get back at someone for something, perhaps a defeat in a duel, disagreement over some topic, or just a long-standing grudge.

Also, there are many many topics/posts in the trading forums, it's much easier for a person to just check the top pages of the Scammer Accusation forum, if they want to see if there are any very recent accusations about a person. In there, you can see all the accusations bumped/posted in for the last day in just 1 and 1/2 pages, in the Trading forums it would be more easily missed. Of course, an accusation on its own doesn't prove anything, though you are right, usually a large amount of accusations in a very short period sends of warning signals to potential traders.

To add on to the above, this has been suggested before and denied.

How could it be proven that it was false then? Not every S/A case has enough proof to lock, should everyone with not enough proof be warned/banned?

Would promote false accusations and cause more people to break rules just to keep their trade threads up. All around bad idea.

If you look at the threads that are moved from trading grounds to the s/a they are full of spam and +1's
Anything scammer accusation related should stay in s/a so its easier for staff rather than searching XXX forums for topics which might even be fake to ruin a persons rep.

The trading ground is for trading there is no need for a spam topic about getting scammed to be allowed to be in that forum.
Just stick to the Scammer accusations forum for things like this and use a mediator to trade and you will never be scammed or have to worry about a scam.

Its a smart idea trying to pervent the further scams but the way it is set up now you can't get scammed unless u trade without a mediator, and trading without a mediator is at ur own risk of getting scammed. Sorry but it's a no for me, there is no way this will ever be able to happen.
