I think it would be a good way to avoid them since the main reason why you are blocking a user is just cause you don't want anything with him/her to deal with.
Therefore it would be an awesome idea.

Yes - Agree
No - Not agree

No from me. If i block people, i block them becouse of the unnecessary PM's they send. But anyhow, i'd like to see what they post, and if it's about me, i can defend myself.

And also there is a nice add-on what provides this: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=56929747&f=27

Well, I'm an active arranger of Leagues/Tournaments for MLD and I think it's annoying having spammers in my topic. I have told them to stop and they still keep going, the moderators doesn't handle it good at all.
Would be an easier way having an permanent blockage were moderators doesn't have to get into it.

It's fast, it's smooth, and less work for Moderators.

Report them properly and this shouldn't be a problem.

Don't reply to spam.

Well the problem isn't that I reply, the problem is that other people is doing it.

By having it, people wouldn't be in need of reporting "properly", and it instead stays permanent

Report he's posts with the report system. if he continues spamming, collect he's posts / threads and pm one of them: http://forums.d2jsp.org/staff.php?g=20

And as i posted above, that block script works really great. ;)

Use the ''Report Post'' button when it's needed.

Public posts and private messages are two different things.
Blocking their public posts would affect all your topics, even those that are not related to the unnecessary pm's you were receiving.

I'm not willing of collecting all his spams, it's a waste of time collecting a user with childish behavior.

The moderator's decisions/help is very weak in my opinion. It's rarely they even doing it. Only thing they seem to care of is their "wordfilter" and Early Bumps.
Define what you mean by that it will affect my topics...
