Increaseing the filesize would cause:
I did in the past and i don't agree. On a single thread on average is 10 signatures. That is an extra 100kb to load every page. Say you browse trade and look a t 50 topics. That is 5mb of extra load.

increasing height would cause:
Longer pages.

But increasing the signature limits 450x150* 70kb Would allow for longer signatures wouldn't effect site load. It wouldn't effect page scroll *this isn't 2003 where we all use 800x600* The extra 50px doesnt seem like much but adds a lot more versatility.




Signature changes have been suggested i nthe past. And most changes would hurt something. However, if you increase the width it just adds a slightly larger image. The diversity you could offer is great :3 WIth the same image file size requirements, it wont hurt siteload. And with the same 150 height limit it will not increase scroll.

Not really worth creating a fuss about this imo, a lot of sig makers on jsp have a hard enough time as is trying to fill in all the negative space. It really is the height and not the width that limits creativity, diversity, and flexability in signature designing.

I know we haven't always seen eye to eye but this is my honest opinion, nothing personal.

You're opinion is fully valid. I'd just like to see the step take the right step. Maybe eventually making it 450x175 even. Thanks for taking the time to post
