I'd like to recommend a new public channel on the d2jsp IRC based Instant Messenger.
Since we have #reports channel, where we can report misc (Example: Signature, avatar, profile, photo gallery) violations, i would like to see a major report channel where we are able to report the major violations (Porn / Nudity; Illegal trade; Binaries, hacks, bots, exploits, or third party modifications discussion; etc) around the site, and where we are able to post topic links.
In my opinion, it is needed to taken care of the major violations instantly and directly. PM function works fine but cause some problems when the staff member just went to afk.

Well, can't you report those things on the same channel? Since its about "reports"...

Topic on #reports is: Misc Violation reports can be reported here. Example: Signature, avatar, profile, photo gallery violations. Do not report topics here, always use the Report Post link for all post/topic violations!

Voting no. The main reason they suggest reporting major violations (Things that need immediate attention) via PM rather than in the channel is due to visibility. They don't want 40 other users viewing the pornography/malware/piracy, whatever is before they are able to close it. Moderators do not sit in IRC and watch the channel while on the forums (at least to my knowledge), the most efficient way to handle these quickly is VIA pm, and in my opinion, should remain that way for the reason mentioned above.

Mhm. Have to agree. Didn't think about that way.
Can closed i guess. :locked:
