Hello,

thanks for opening my topic.
d2jsp is full of experienced webdesigners and we literally cry using BBCode.

I understand completely that you can't let us run our own Javascripts, but simple HTML (or at least some tags) would be so damn nice!!!

I realize this would be a major and expensive change (and it prolly never happen), but in 2012, when the computer literacy is rapidly increasing , it might seem like a logical step.

Bulletin Board Code is too old, too simple and absolutely insufficient.
I can't even make a table for god sakes...

Thanks for reading and don't forget to post what you think.

Regards

Hmm, the main issue with this would most likely be security
But I don't know all the risks, and certain things could be nice, so I'll withhold my vote until I read about it a bit more over the weekend.
/e Oh, and there's no Poll by the way.

Sorry...
There is now...

And as I said before, I understand they can't let us run our own Javascripts. That would be a security issue!!!
But I don't see any danger in HTML.

You know adding some HTML tags wouldn't even have to affect normal users (no offense) like you...
Web browser will translate BBCode as HTML anyway.

I am organizing D2 tournaments and (at least) <table><td><tr><colspan><rowspan> would help a lot...

I have no plans to allow unfettered html usage in any user posted content. I am using BBCode to explicitly define what is allowed and what is rejected. Even if this was done, the imposed limitations you would have with html would be just the same that you have with bbcode, so it wouldn't be any extra benefit.
