Basicly i wanted to change my d2jsp name and i tried every nice name i thought of and all taken, so i pm'd the user and most of them have 0 friends 0 posts last seen like 1 year ago. i think account expirery should exist so names arent always taken, if the user has forum gold and hasnt been onlinefor like 1 year+ then obviously he has quit so why6 not expire that account?

Expirery should only occcur like 1 year without logging in but should also get a e-mail warning saying "your account is about to expire" like on diablo 2 chars.




do you know why not? only reason i can think of not doing it is that jsp wants to keep a high member count no matter if completely inactive. jsp may lose a few members but i know thay a lot of people would be buying name changes = more fg for the site gets back.

Already discussed very often , it wont happen.

Users come back all the time, it would not be fair to those members who created the account to come back and find that their user name was changed or even deleted. njaguar has said on numerous occasions that he will not retire old accounts to free up names.
