Bitcoins are digital currency just like FG. With a forum we could trade FG for bitcoins or bitcoins for FG. Bitcoins are not extremely popular right now. But almost everyone has heard of them and there are hundreds of merchants which accept them as payment. They are currently valued at $6 each but in the last 30 days that has gone between ~5-7. There is already at least 10-20 websites that act as an intermediate exchange for the p2p currency. Aside from taking a fee for services they do not accept paypal or debit/credit. It is very costly and difficult to get bitcoins with these intermediaries. I don't know the future for bitcoins. By that I mean I could make lengthy arguements for both sides of the bitcoin. One promising use I see is online gambling. Also, they are worldwide and for that reason may be immune to some sovereign inflationary and currency intervention fluctuations. Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Because of that, and the very limited supply of bitcoins, they remain valuable as long as they remain an legitimate alternative.

Prohibited behavior and content (text, links, images, videos etc.):
No monetary sales of anything on, from, or through this site, including, but not limited to: accounts, virtual goods, forum gold, CD-keys.

They put that there for good reason.

I have been successfully trading online currencies for 14 years and 98% of that , without the use of JSP. FG has always been indirectly liquid, easy to get USD if desired. I agree, FG should not be allowed to directly trade for dollars. This platform is a medium of exchange. Surely JSP will benefit from D3. But not so much, because of $it account s within. JSP should allow the exchange of bitcoins because it is low-risk and diverse.. people trade beta keys and all kinds of stuff. Id take the chance on bitcoins because securing your reputation now means customers will be inclined to use jsp for the next flavor of the day.

I disagree that my behavior or content is prohibited. This is a suggested board. I am breaking rules suggesting bitcoins? They are as much of a currency as Sojs. Bottom line here: if JSP wont step up and offer itself an exchange for online currencies then other hubs will. The basis of JSP is far more lucrative as technically there are no fees.
