If i ask a question like "hey can this item be socketed?"

DO NOT send post on me with www.arreatssummitt.com

it defeats the purpose of having jsp

Warning should be given ton those who do it

there is nothing wrong with posting a correct link with a correct answer

Why on earth would directing you to the correct source of information be a warnable offense? It is still help, even if it is not the information you seek on a silver plate.

to cover the remaining 10%

yet these questions still pop-up since people are lazy

which is why we link arreat summit

forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=60617089

if your talking about this post then you should just stop

it is not helping you trying to close something down because they are not spoonfeeding you

I'm sure someone already told you but the D2 guides section on here also has builds, guides and other information that AS might not have
Or they're more detailed or more in depth than AS is
The General Help forum (where you've been posting in) is mainly for general (d2jsp) questions or technical questions regarding d2jsp, D2, games, PCs, etc
If you have an in-game question such as that, post in the Discussion and Guides forum

The reason that section is there is because there are questions you just can't answer with AS
Like "what do I put into this socket," "what pvm/pvp build should I do," "how do I do the strength glitch," etc etc

" Give a man a fish and he has food for a day. Teach a man how to fish and he has food for a lifetime. "

By only getting redirected to arreat summit (for example) they can find the answer to their current and probably most future questions regarding diablo II and are guaranteed a 100% correct answer

However, if they want to discuss what and why something is better than something else, d2jsp would be a great place. It's a discussion forum, not a FAQ ;)

The problem is that people tend to ask questions that are easily accessable and they just post before reading or searching for the information. No two users are the same, one person might give you a direct answer, another might just link you somewhere where the information is kept. I guess what I'm trying to say is, it can't hurt to check a few sources before making a thread. Chances are someone answered that question prior in the day.

this

and besides wouldn't it be quick for you to just go to arreat summit next time you have a simple question rather than posting and waiting for someone to reply?
