I was in the app market today and like most ppl I'm a lil app-dicted.
A thought hit me. Why is there no jsp forum app.
I would like permission to build a beta and have a few users test it
It would basically be like the Facebook app
Allow u to access all of jsp with a user friendly interface.
It will take time and help from a few testers. I think it work very nicely.
And it would be a way for me to give back to jsp (aside from all the FG I've purchased!)

I think you'll have a hard time finding old users who will enter their d2jsp password into anything programmed by anyone other than njaguar... seeing as you need your d2jsp password/login ID for browsing to be useful, I don't see any way around this.

by "old users" I mean trusted/mediator/mods/others who have been around for long enough to know how security has increased around here. As for the newer public, that's up to them. Also, I don't know if njaguar would allow this without his blessing. It may cause increased load due to ridiculous forum refresh times (or other things which may not jive well with the d2jsp backend) which njaguar may not be ok with.

True I would have to send all source to him and allow him to distrubute it to whom he see's fit.
Or if and when it takes off and I know it will the original testers will recieve the credit for there role

If you wrote an open source d2jsp app and let people read through the source code, that may work I suppose. Though reading someone else's code is a pain (I would know).

Open source android apps can be compiled and side-loaded legally on all devices. However, this isn't the case for iphone.

I think it would be GREAT to have a mobile-friendly version of d2jsp. I didn't mean to discourage your idea. I just don't know if you're the right person to be writing the program for it.

I understand ur initial hesitation but if and when u see what I can do your mind will change this I can promise
I woe have no problem allowing the source out with the coding rights remaining mine 100% untill it is finished. I'd be dismayed
If I loged on to my phone and someone posts the app in there name. I would also love to have some beta's given access to change
And add o. To the program with out releasing it with out mine or naj's pro mission

i like the idea, i currently use my HTC touch (Android) and the internet explorer takes forever to load and to do pm's i have to zoom out and use a touch pin to pinpoint "send message"
or if i go to post in a thread its nearly impossible
let alone the worse is sending fg for a trade if im not near my computer, trying to hit send, using the built in mouse causes the selection icon make a box behind the submit button, so i can never send fg

but i would like a more friendly APP for jsp! so +1 from me
