This has been suggested and denied.
Could be abused e.g. by scammers.
The mod team is there to do so, for a good reason.

If you don't want to post in your own topic anymore, you can simply let it die and repost it later.
If someone else spams your topic, you can pm a JM/TM and they will take care of it.
There is no need to implement this in my opinion.
