It bugs me day in and day out how this entire community misuses the word spam. We have the English language for a reason and that is to communicate efficiently and effectively. Redefining a word that already has a rooted definition is ridiculous and annoying. Imagine if we redefined any word we wanted to; it would be utter chaos and a whole heap of difficulty to communicate with one another. Therefore I propose that spam be returned its original definition of "disruptive messages, especially commercial messages posted on a computer network or sent as e-mail" and that all references to the word in stickies and official website material be changed to "unrelated material".
