Apparently the post didn't get through some people's head.

We understand the report if you're flamed. We're talking about only letting the person who GOT flamed, report the flamer. Not other random users reporting because they assume the person is getting upset. That should be up to the flamee.

We can't hold an intelligent conversation because people assume that someone getting upset from posts when in actuality, they're probably not.

might work for trade topics, but not on other places

If you get flamed, report it. If you flame back expect action taken against you as well.
