I don't know about you guys but I am always missing pms from my guild and other people because jsp says I am still online up to 20 minutes after I get off. I would like to be shown as off instantly.

if it were instant, people may not even send you a pm because they will assume you are offline for good (instead of just temporarily not on jsp)

nulled my vote because there are disadvantages to both

I guess what I forgot to mention in my reasoning is this. If someone pms you because jsp says that you are on but you are not and they do not get a reply the person then thinks you are ignoring them and trades with someone else, for example. where as if you are off at least they know it and arn't going to think you are ignoring them.

I think you should be able to choose how long you're listed online for. Options would be anywhere from, say, 2 minutes from last click to 15-20

Personally I'd set mine to 5 minutes

Doesn't clicking the log-out button do that?
But I like the idea, yes from me.

Not going to change. With a website, there is no "instant on or off", because there is no way to know when you will or won't be back. It says "last seen" and has a relative time. Either the online indicator is a guestimate based upon last seen, or it's removed entirely. It cannot be both ways.
