When I am posting in general chat or stratagy forums, I often find myself wanting to add more options to the poll after I have already posted the topic, so I thought it would be a good idea to suggest that you be able to edit polls after you make a just, just like you can edit posts.

Not going to happen. If a site suggestion is closed with no post from njaguar or kevin it means it wont be happening. 'Spam' is just the selected reason for closure because there is not an 'unreasonable site suggestion' option.

It would facilitate in the tampering of poll votes

U could easily edit the polls after votes have been made to adjust them to ur desired results

IE: a poll with 120 yes & 250 no could easily be altered to be 250 yes & 120 no votes
