updating purposes mainly, i think this would be a simple, great feature

I'm sorry but this suggest will never be added, as someone who scammed or posted an illegal topic or post could easly just edit out there post before they get in trouble for what they did. Sure users could take screen shots of the trade, but trades are suppose to be done through a topic, and in the Scammer Accusations forum you don't need a screen shot of the trade inside the topic just a link. So if you can edit your post whenever you want you can easly say so and so scammed you. Same reason for an off topic post, If a user posts something he or she shouldn't and gets reported they could easly just edit out there post before it can be taken care of by a member of the team.

This isn't going to happen. There are too many security issues that arise from this idea.

i could see it being reasonable if in fact the server cannot retain such information; but otherwise I find it almost necessary

not needed if u want to edit ur first post put a pic of what u are trading...blah blah blah and edit the pic when u need it edited
