Ah curling, the black sheep of the Winter Olympic Games. No one really knows why curling was invented or is considered a sport, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t awesome! Even though curling is not America’s sport, we should cheer them on because we know were going to leave with the most medals anyway.

Anyone can curl. Literally. I actually went curling at the Schenectady Curling Club in third grade with school because my teacher was an avid curler. She wasn’t athletic at all, but she was an awesome curler and it’s not as easy as it seems. You can curl if your skinny, old, fat, young, obese, athletic, a nerd, or pregnant. Yes, there is a Canadian curler who is five months pregnant; and Canada kicks curling butt. I’d love to see a figure skater win the gold while pregnant.
The players and fans are passionate (and loud). Yelling, cheering, foot stomping, body paint, and the occasional swearing make curling as roudy as any other sport. Yes, there have been crazy body painters at Vancouver’s curling matches. And the fact that the fans and the players are allowed to swear makes curling different shuffleboard. You never see the British shuffleboarders losing their cool, but you’ll see the British curlers and fans break out and yell.
Chris Plys is hot. Okay so Plys is technically an alternative, but who really cares. Sure I’d rather watch Bode Miller, Ted Ligetly, or Apolo Ohno, but hey they’re not on TV all the time.

    Norway's awesome pants.

If American curling is on I’m sure to check it out thanks to you Chris Plys.
The uniforms. Have you seen the Norway team’s argyle pants? They define awesome. I wish that America’s uniforms were as cool. Maybe for the next Winter Olympics we can have pants with stars on them or something.
It’s better than watching paint dry or David Letterman. Self-explanatory and Letterman’s a creep.

Curling is a huge sport throughout the entire world, would add for even more discussion in the otherwise lackluster hockey sub-forum.
Football and Rugby was such a great match for that subforum that made it better than what it was before and I think this would help the Hockey forum out equally.

Thanks for your time.

Curling is an Olympic sport, I don't see why it isn't in the Hockey forum.

Yes, great idea. I have been a big fan of curling my entire life and I have never had a forum to discuss my love for the game.

I LOVE this idea. The hockey forum would be a much more active place with all of the curling fans welcomed.
