I have been growing back into my roots and picking up fishing again, but I realized there is no section to talk to other people about it.

I understand there is the nature/science/technology forum; however that is more of a sub section for debate topics.
I also realize that people on jsp don't get out much, but I feel this would increase jsp's numbers by opening the door to a more diverse crowd.

My suggestion? Make a forum dedicated to fisherman, hunters, .... Bird watchers? And the like.
