I'd like to propose an idea I have been considering for some time. The xbox forums in particular suffer from a large amount of off-topic and illegal trade threads. Unfortunately at this time, our moderator seems to be more inactive lately than before, and reported threads and offenses often go without attention and are repeated continuously. I'd like to suggest that each forum vote specifically for one of its regular (and rule following) members, who can be relied upon to be active at least once to several times daily, to become a mod for that specific forum. I feel this would lead to a quicker response and appropriate action by a mod and prevent future occurrences. I would also recommend existing moderators oversee the voting and obtaining necessary information that may or may not qualify a member to this title.

No. It would confuse people. This wouldn't make mods more active..

There is no need for this imo. There are already groups of members that moderate specific forums and not all moderators are as active as another.

Having one moderator be in charge of one specific forum would do more harm than good.

People would PM moderators who aren't in charge of certain section. It's too confusing.

Leave it as is.

Eh. While it sounds like a plan, you must keep in mind, if people voted on their own mods, you are going to have a lot of the trouble makers elect their favorite people. Not everyone would be serious about this. As it is, if the mods aren't active, then there is a simple solution. Retire some mods, add some more.

thats why i encourage current mods to have control over it. im not saying its not flawed, and am definitely open to suggestions. as it stands now, all the subforums are hurting because of the inactivity of the current mods.
