Ive only been on jsp for two years. but im guessing Njaguar started the early bump rule 4 hours at a time when jsp first started and never changed it.
But JSPs population of traders are much higher than they were then. Maybe (Back in the day) when u bumped your topic legally your topic stayed on the top 50 for at least over 30-45 mins
But now traders have no real choice but to early bump their topics, so they can actually be seen. On ladder threads stay on top 20 for a few minutes at most.
Having jsps early bump rule at 4 hours wastes time for mediators closing back to back threads
if the time was 1-2 hour early bumps im sure more jspers would fallow the rule, and mediators would have more time to do more important things with their job.
i dunno. just my thoughts
