Most closed topics are closed for rule infractions and spam so quoting those topics would only perpetuate the spam.

well its been suggested like 100 times before, but still voted yes.
not sure why quoting those topics to keep the spam going... can just highlight and copy it to do that. Its a huge pain to have to recode everything though for those of us that follow the rules, or are unexpectedly afk for 4 days and the topic gets recycled (pain in the ass)
