I think it would be useful if we would receive messages when a user added us to their friend list.
Should be like receiving a message when someone sent you gold.
Few weeks ago a user wanted to add me and I didn't notice at first. Later I saw he is waiting since 10 days.
I think that would be nice

completely agree there needs to be a notification for such things
i had 2 people request me as friends a few weeks back and i didn't see them for like 3-4 days afterward

although i dont know if it should be a pm or not

This has been suggested plenty of times before, and only got rejected.
It can add some laggs to the site. And therefore I personally dont think it would get added.
