I understand d2jsp has to take measures to protect the site, and enforce the rules and order that is necessary for the site to function.
I would like to propose the updating of the word filter suspension to be on par with the rest of the warning system on d2jsp.
All warns and suspensions usually are indicated by either warn logs, or a private message, Word filter suspensions do neither, perhaps an automated reply could be formatted to be sent after a word filter suspension to indicate that they were in fact suspended. I see no point in hiding the fact a word filter suspension system exists, if they are able to post in general help, and have a trusted helper tell them in 10 minutes it was a word filter suspension.
**Note, I am not asking the list be published, I understand fully why the list itself cannot be published **
Secondly, the duration for a suspension of this nature is 24 hours, which when evaluated on par with other suspensions seems a little harsh, especially considering it doesn't incur any warn %. Perhaps it would be possible to implement a reduction in time, or perhaps set up a severity list and or a sliding scale?
I've been suspended twice for posting long cat parody pictures, that were small images, and did not disrupt the thread (General Chat)
The suspension for each was 24 hours, which seems a little out of date given that d2jsp now has a 15 minute suspension for flaming.
Hitting the word filter something trivial and not disruptive to the site is frustrating, but I understand proactive measures must be taken sometimes.
Does anyone else think the current system could be updated to more better reflect the current policy on d2jsp?
