from what ive seen, the instant messenger doesnt really get used at all. =S

and it takes up a whole tab just to use it.

i think it would get used alot more if it was setup like facebook is. with a little tab in the corner of whos on, and a little chat box used with each individual person so you can navigate the site freely without having to have a second tab. and is instantly noticed when messaged :3

just a thought.. idk if its been suggested before.

but if paul really indeed wanted the instant messenger to be utilized, i think this would be the best bet.

I agree with this, it will help provide a more organized surfer free communication friendly browser forum.

this method is used on many other gaming sites and has been found to be very effective and useful.

for anyone that doesnt know what the fb chat looks like. i spent about a minute quickly making s/s's

league of legends uses a similar system as well...its on the left-hand corner but same principle.

yes, i think the IM would become a major significance if implemented like this.

this would also supply a list of all your friends currently online which would be helpful when in need of transfers, or asking a question on the spot, ect ect.

I think that would be pretty cool.

Though currently the instant messenger is still undergoing updates and improvements so it probably already has a pre-designed route.

Good luck with your suggestion though.
