Hello,

I would like to propose that the general users of D2jsp are no longer able to say "Site Load" As a reason to vote No

People should vote "no" solely on the merits of the suggestion, and the administrators of the site should determine if it is, or is not outside of site perimeters, or if it would make the storage needs for the site too high.

Obviously, if the idea has been suggested before, and turned down due to site load, it would be much easier to say " No, already suggested" then give the work around answer that the Administrators gave.

I see the same people claiming site load when they do not know the difference between an MB, and a Mb.

Please vote Yes, or No based on your opinion of the merit of the idea, and not on what you think the site can, and cannot hold.

Thanks :)

How do you know that they don't actually know how something will affect site load?

You're from 07, so maybe you remember this, but:

at around 5:30 every night jsp would SLOW DOWN since so many users were on line (to the point that it took like 10 seconds to load a page). This is why people value a low site load. It's nice having pages reload in a tenth of a second, and I don't think people would be willing to sacrifice it.

You and I also know the server has been upgraded since then.

As administrators, we have to have confidence in their choice to pick things that will not effect site performance, Not just be in a panic and say "site performance" to every issue.

But, I do agree that site performance is very important to every user. I just feel like some more trust should be placed in the people that run the site to make choices that will not effect our experience.

People are, and will always, be allowed to vote on the basis of what they believe to be correct, in this instance, notwithstanding the fairly limited facts given. You, nor I, understand fully how much the proposed suggestion in question will increase site load, that is correct, however in most cases, it is fairly obvious and requires little more than common sense to understand that every additions would in some way alter the speed this site maintains, even if only marginally. More information to load means that it takes a longer time to load. As such, when people post that implementing a new idea would alter the site load time, and on that basis they vote no? Well sir, they arn't wrong to do so.

I'm nulling this due to it being idiotic.
