Way to easy to scam. Name botters have all the good names on a queue system that are constantly being checked and rechecked.
People will run these bots 24/7.

It's not the same as running into the chance of buying unperms, because you can perm your character and keep the items, may be an inconvienence, but you can.
With trading names, there is almost a gaurentee that you're going to get scammed.

Also it would be easy for someone on this forum to see the thread, throw the name in the bot and buy it themselves, stealing your name and even going around you and selling it to the user. How are you going to prove that he stole it? he could've just wanted to make it then and there and not realized it was taken.

Would open up so many complaints that it's not even worth it.
