I had 5 friends waiting for my approval that I had no idea were waiting. Then talking to someone else about it, they checked theirs and had 22! You should get some type of notice I think. Facebook is a good example of this I feel.

There already is a notification feature for the dIM, just leave that open.

Not everyone uses the dIM, and it seems a bit absurd to have to leave that open just to be able to get a friend add notification.

I voted yes, I never know when people request me as friends unless I go check my friends list, make my way to the last page, and look.

paul has already said that this will not happen, just use the dIM to receive real time notifications

btw, you can see pending friend requests next to the text "manage friends";

that doesn't apply if you hide your friends list in your profile.
guess i just don't understand why there isn't a notification just like there is when you send someone a message, or send them fg (even if the fg notification can be turned off).

Voted no. There's enough ways to find out if you have a friend request already.
