If you could block someone on d2jsp, maybe it be an annoying spammer, someone that just won't stop "trolling" .... would you like to have it so when you block them.... you do not see their posts, but they can still see yours? ... would this be something you would like to see? Pretty soon the loser is just going to be talking to himself... maybe it might even help some of the nonsense...

This feature is on a photography forum I used to use, and it was actually quite helpful in blocking someone. It even blocked them from sending you pm's... kind of an all-in-one. I can't think of any reason why this would be a bad idea....

Please forgive me if this idea has already been stated.

It has been suggested before and I don't think it is that great of an idea. It can be abused in different ways.

One example how it can be a bad idea. Is someone blocking a whole bunch of people from seeing their post and lets say for example all these posts are excessive flames/spam/violations/etc, that person wouldn't be able to see the content / wouldn't be able to report it.

If you have problems with someone and it's getting really serious, tell them to stop posting in your thread and if they continue abusing, an appropriate member of the mod team would be able to help you out.

Hmm... I see how you mean. What if it just went one way... whereas let's say I blocked Bob101, I just can't see his posts, but he can still see mine. He'd have no clue I even blocked him.

Edit: Lets call it "ignore" rather than "block"

An idea I can get behind. Most forums have an "ignore" button so you don't get to lose braincells when someone is spewing out filth in their posts.
