Give users ability to rate trader.

Idea is to add + and - buttons under Trader:. To avoid false raitings, one method is enable rating only for person who send/receivved FG. This mean you are not able to rate anyone but one you traded with. To avoid rating by frien add limit like user can rate an other user once in 24 horus.

At the moment Trader: Not Rated or Trusted, or what ever but then it would be Trader: +12 or Trader -23. where +12 means trader has been legit 12 times or -23 would mean trader has been tried or sell dupes to scam 23 times.

Trader: +/- X would be just alternative for notrated traders. Trusted or Meditators would have then Trusted +1500 or Trade Meditator +2000 or something like this.

I also thought that user might receive Trusted status if... let's say more that 1000 diferent people rated him well.
Just idea.

An other idea what might be good is allow users close they're own topics in trade forums only Or alternatively mark trade as done. This would stop offers after trade is done which means topic goes down and wont go up again when topic creator is already done trade.

i think this wont happen because people can get their friends to +1 them to get that trust tag and then just like that a trader who hasn't done much around the forums becomes a trusted trader... imo thats a little abusive to the system around here and thats not how things work around here.. also scammers that steal or sell duped items get locked or scammed so there is no need for this +/- thing

Agree with both of these gentlemen, going to have to vote no.

One possible way aroun this is allow every user reate only once. Which means that you would need 1000 friends which is quite impossible. It's possible to track user trade activities by monitoring his/her posts in trade forums and then autodecide wether +/- thing is abuse or not. It's just not easy as it looks, but still possible.

You may have few friends, but if you are bad trader you get more foes who keep decreasing your rating.

An other idea is fore user comment his/her rating, and comments would be publically visible so anyone who wants can see wether it's fake or not.

An other idea is require user have atleast 1000 posts which avoids using multi accounts to get rate.

You could also report rating that you think is abusive, and if it turns out that rating is given because if some one is someone's friend, moderator/administrator could remove rating right from both users.

For one, bribery would be rife

Two, not at all impossible, there are 740000 + registered users on this site, it's more than possible and in fact, very, very easy.

Just edited my post ty say other methods. PMing 1000 people is too much work.Posting topic "N rating O rating" would simply result in ban. Also if you gonna PM random user "Hey lets be friends and share rating" there's little chance that you PM to legit user who just forward PM to moderators, and in then your rating attempt would be finished.

You can also require user to be registered atleast year ago.

OR Atleast allow users post comments in each other's profile, and allow other users rate each other's comments (like in youtube comments have rating)
