Several times I've had buddies PM me saying "My friend request has been pending (3 days, a week, whatever). Accept it!"

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't check my own profile regularly to see if I received a new friend request. It would be very simple if a request also sent a PM notifying the person of the request and linked them to Manage Friends where they can approve it.

Since there should be no reason not to implement this, please state otherwise if you're voting "no", or we'll just assume you're being a disagreeable jerk. ;)

Also, if you've seen this suggestion before, please head over to this thread and vote on adding a search feature to the Site Suggestions forum.

I'm almost certain it has. So follow the link and vote yes on adding a search feature.

They seriously want us to check to see if it's been suggested and then deny us a search feature? That HAS to be an oversight.

Also, don't be afraid to vote on this even if you have seen it before. It won't end the universe. :P

If the so proclaimed friend would actually care about him/her accepting his invite, he would send a PM.

I'm already getting enough randoms sending me friend invites, I'd rather not have a PM attached to every one of them.

Thanks for posting a good reason for voting no. I can understand those reasons you've given fully. Thanks for your input. :thumbsup:

Give the people what they want.

JSP's IM is awful. It was a terrible idea from conception to implementation. I do not use it, and never will. I know several others that feel the same way.

This topic will be closed. The truth is, you DO have it, just not the "exact" way you want it, which in my opinion, is rather pedantic.

Because, posting and bumping a suggestion to combat a "problem" regularly is much less work than checking your profile every day.

I would find it annoying, that's a reason not to implement it. I get quite a lot of random friend requests off people I don't know. Not that I'm some sort of superstar or anything, just saying this would annoy me to no end.

Another is the fact that you ALREADY HAVE IT and it will not happen as it is unnecessary work for Paul.

tl;dr --> No.
