When someone reports a thread for one of the violations, does a "real" person evaluate it? If so, I recommend some adjustements be made. Some post, are minor infractions in my opinion. However, many (and becoming much more often now in the trade forums) are purposely ignoring the rules in place. The spam, the racists remarks, the nonstop bumping -- they know it will get closed, they just make another or still end up selling their item via pm after spamming their topic to the front.

I think there are certain ways to go about this. Some infractions should get a 24 hr ban, while some only a short time. People who blatantly break the set rules should be accumulating points which will eventually lead to whatever about of time banned from posting.

Just some thoughts.

Just so you're aware, the Mods are completely unwilling to change the way warns and spam are dealt with at JSP, and this topic will probably get closed

That's too bad. I could see how being a tad more strict would benefit the forums that need it...ie Trading forums.

Then they could actually drop the 4 hour bump crap to way shorter. Currently, they are forcing people to break the rules.

Totally agree.

And yes, I do admit that I've early bumped A LOT and haven't gotten any warn from trading forums.
