So this idea just came to me and I'm sorry if it's come up already but I don't spend time going through hundreds of threads like most of you other people probably do.
I'm tired of this because the TRADING forums are for TRADING, not asking for help with whatever or off-topic crap. Cause all that off-topic pushes down the actual trade threads. Then there's the early bumping/spamming issues that are not necessary at all and just push down everything else jsut as much.

Ok so I've known about these forums since 2008, and back then, people weren't allowed to make threads for offering services and such without a Trusted tag. Period.
But they still did and I have seen that all they get for doing that is a closed thread and/or warning. Unless they spammed it or something. But that rule never stopped them...

Now we have "My Events", and yeah, it seems more fair -- anyone can post offering services as long as it's in My Events. But no. People are still posting their stuff in the trading forums. Even though you can't enter stuff like "rush", "xfer", etc as a title, they still find ways around that. Ex: "(r)ush", "(x)fer, etc.

I am still seeing a lot of people getting away with it, and, I know that the Mods are busy and such... they probably get like 1,000s of reports a second or something. It seems that, these days, people are only getting warned for really serious violations such as spam, hack discussions, and posting porn. So I'll get to the point -- every thread that gets closed, whoever made the violation that got reported and got the thread closed, however many people, will get 10% warn. Without a verbal or whatever they get when they don't get warned. I think that this is probably the only way they'll learn where to post what.

Now I know what people might reply to this:

- This can be abused cause people would just report random stuff to intentionally have someone get 10%

If the Mods could put a little more effort into actually reading through the thread, checking to see that the reported posts are actual violations, I don't think this could be easily abused.

- This would be too much work for the Mods

Well if this is the case, then you could just discard this idea I guess. Like I said, I know they are probably already getting 1, 000s of reports by the second and are very busy, but I think this would help reinforce the trading and posting rules. But I want to know your opinions regardless.

So, yeah, that's it :D
I wrote this when I was really tired so sorry for anything unclear or w/e
ISO opinions :)

Voted No
*Most people in trading grounds are users who actually never read some of the rules or most people are actually new users(2010 members)
*If a user gets 10% warn, They'll say ''How come this guy(link of guy's spam) didn't get any warn and i did?

It's already complicated.

the mods will not enforce the rules in the trading forum, it has been requested many times.

uhhh...

[x] no

so if new people to the site dont know what to do they get 10% right off the back? most of them end up posting in the wrong section asking where to go.

very good first impression of jsp

Yes, please. I've seen at least 50 threads posted in the wrong forum yesterday, in euscl.

we are actually much stricter on services now that my events is open. we have cut you enough slack to offer services, so you should respect that by keeping them out of the trading forums.

if you see people behaving as the way you described report the post or pm one of us directly.
