I think this is a good idea because if you are trying to find someone or some thread, but can't remember the thread name or the person's account, you can just search.

It could be on the home page of d2jsp.

I've noticed that the Trading Forums for Diablo 2 mostly, are the only forums with a Search Engine.

Think it would be nice to have a Search Engine for the whole site.

They're not the only ones with search.
If you're looking for a user, you got to know his full name, just try to add various names to your address book : http://forums.d2jsp.org/pm.php?c=13
Besides, it's been suggested before and not wanted.
If you're looking for a topic, this site is way too big and a simple search from 1 user would mean searching through 300+ million posts, which is quite a load..and then consider ~ 10k users doing same thing..it would kill the site.
In trade, it's meant to aid and those forums are 7-day limited, meaning any topic older than a week is autoarchived.

You can look for trade topics in forums to give up to 500 results in a 3day timespan.
