Just thought about it while I was browsing the trade forums:

Many people offer goldlogs as a prove that they bought their item once back in time at date y for ammount x from User z. Also it is used in S/A topics to show that there has been a transaction. Currently people either make screenshots and put them via [img][/img] into the post or just copy&paste a easy to fake goldlog with ctrl+c and ctrl+v into their tread.

To make trading a little bit more smooth I thought if d2jsp could add a function:

1. Insert the original goldlog (similar to a picture) in the post (i.e. a small popup for goldlogs opens and you can choose the goldlog you want to insert)

2. Forward goldlog to a user in a pm (similar to the above version)

in order to make you able to choose, which information you want to forward (i.e. sometimes people dont want to show the ammount they payed), you could add some options like "hide the payed sum", "hide the seller" etc..

you dont need to present a s/s of your gold logs in the S/A forums because mods can review your gold logs
won't happen imo

well from what I see people mostly post their gold logs ... and it would be more conveniant for the mod if 1000 users creating such topics every day would post each the goldlog himselve instead of a mod having to read 1000 of goldlogs even if it might take him only 2-3 klicks

the basic idea is just to make things more easy. This solution would provide an "official" gold log in a post, that can be taken as a proof either in trades or in SA (if needed)

thats it. It's nothing of very urgent need, just an idea for a nice feature for both, users and mods

Voted "No". Someone can just take a screen shot of their gold log and post it.

of course you could do that.. this could just make things a little easier.. "just take a screen" means you screenshot, paste it in paint, then you cut it out and censor the parts other people shouldnt see and then you safe and upload it. takes you at least 3-4 minutes, which can be safed with this feature since many people are nowdays too lazy to post a real goldlog so they just copy&paste it

forwarding gold logs as proof is a good idea !

the meds can view the logs anyway without this !

i would think JSPer would use this as an excuse to squeeze more FG out of trades !
