how is it when someone requests a mediator they come and look at thread and it still takes them a whole whopping 45 minutes before they answer the request and that is assuming the respond......i just dont get how there are mods out there and they look at a thread and just leave it be or better yet they close it.....isn't a mod supposed to be there to be the middle man for the trade not just look at trade topic and then close because its "illegal" trade.....how is it illegal when BOTH jsp users agree to the trade?

yes there are like 3 questions in there but here they are out in the open

how is it when someone requests a mediator they come and look at thread and it still takes them a whole whopping 45 minutes before they answer the request and that is assuming the respond? - question #1

isn't a mod supposed to be there to be the middle man for the trade? - question #2

how is it illegal when BOTH jsp users agree to the trade? - question #3

i sent a message to njaguar because i gave up using meds for the simple fact they dont respond to a request like they used to.....i remember when they would respond in like 5 minutes not 45

Afternoon,
:hello:

To answer your questions above we would need more accurate information such as a link to the trade thread in question, or...
Perhaps the screen shot displaying an instance where we (a mediator) reviewed the thread, but were unable to assist you.
Unfortunately until the above can be provided I will try my best to assist you with the following answers...

1. The staff member you witnessed reviewing your trade thread perhaps was NOT a mediator, instead simply a d2jsp staff member simply reviewing a violation of policy.
Sounds as if a violation indeed existed which resulted in a trade thread being closed.

2. A Moderator is not always a Mediator...
At times a Moderator may indeed be a Mediator & able to assist in trading, again this is not always the case.
As not all Moderators have the ability to act as Mediators.

Additionally if the trade where mediation has been requested is NOT a legal trade at d2jsp no Mediator will be able to assist with the exchange.

3.
Even in the case that two traders agree to a trade there is no guarantee that it can be mediated.
If the trade goes against d2jsp Trading Policy we are unable to assist under any circumstance.

Just in case...
Here are the d2jsp Trading Policies for future reference.
Please be sure to review them at your earliest convenience as we are expected to know them prior to our posting(s).
Hopefully this helps.

:)

Have a great Monday, & as always...
Thank you for using d2jsp!
