I don't know about you, but I'm fed up with spam in my trade topics. So, I propose if you don't want someone to post again in your thread (user must have posted in your thread to begin with) you can click on an option like "Block user from this thread." The thread will then be unaccessable to that user on that thread only. This will prevent the same users spamming a topic over and over, decrease the chances of the thread creator engaging in personal attacks with the spammer, and prevent more threads from being created due to excessive spam and flaming.

It might look something like this: I apologize, it does look ghetto

The way I see it, if a user does not want someone in thier thread, chances are, they will not be trading with that person anyways, so it's not taking anything away from the spammer, just preventing more spam on that specific thread. This would be ONLY for trade forums, since they probably have the most spamming going on.
Let me know what you think! I may not have thought this out all the way, so good thing for this forum!

Do people typically vote for what they agree with or what they think is realistic?

When people think they own the site, they respond like that.

I'd say it would be useful indeed but I don't think anyone gets constantly spammed without doing something weird.

Check out the Uswest ladder forums, I can't make any trade topics with someone chiming in with some irrelevant comment, personal attacks or random +1's. It's rediculous. I'm selling all my items to get away from the trade forums for this very reason.

voted no, due to thread floodding issue .. like if someone makes a thread talking crap he and he cant post in it .. so OBV he will make a new thread and it will go back and forth and there would be over 50 pages b.c 2 people dislike each other. edit lmk what you think.

I think most of the time, it's one sided where the spammer/flamer is the instigator and the other person just wants to be left alone. If the topic creator really wanted to duke it out with the spammer, there's nothing to stop them, but I dont think this is the case most of the time.
