Bump 4 bump posts should be illegal, and punishable in some way shape or form.

Reasons:

90% of the time, they could be considered thread jacking.
It's a cheap way to spam +1's under the radar.
It takes views away from both the person who's thread it was posted in, as well as the other threads on the top 50.

They're already spam, at the very least, and are definitely worthy of a report. If the thread is overrun with others bumping it, it will most likely be closed if attention is drawn to it.

Just report them as early bumps and move on - the TA or TM that comes by will understand what's going on. If it's the case that hostile d2jsp members are spamming bumps to attempt to get someone's thread closed, the thread creator can either contact a TA to have them post in the thread, or report it themselves so that they can create a new thread devoid of trash.

This does not hide the fact that 90% of the time these posts could be considered thread jacking. (which if you did not know is punishable by 10% + 24 hour vacation from the site)

the problem with the "bump for bump" dispute is that it breaks two rules...the first being spam and the second being thread stealing

i doubt there will be an option added to the reporting list nor any specific rule to this infraction but pming a ta + could result in a more severe punishment than just reporting it under "spam"

so all you can do right now is just report it as spam and/or thread stealing and it will be closed my a ta +

If you're worried about thread-jacking, report it immediately to a TA or TM. Otherwise, simply report it as an early bump or as spam, and they will understand what has happened when they reach your report. Punishments aren't restricted to what option you select when you fill out the report queue, and I'm sure that they have seen enough violations to understand what recourse is necessary.

I do, but every time I am told "We cannot do anything with bump 4 bump posts"

Thus my suggestion
