It has uses in literally every forum.

I could not tell you how many times a day I post something in a forum that does not have one, and either forget to track the topic or accidentally delete the tracked topic and need to go back to it later.
Not to mention, in this forum you could use it to check and see what has already been proposed so that you do not make a 2nd or tenth post about the same thing as well as follow the thread in question since it already is something that interests you.

Any comments/arguments either way are encouraged.
