For example i have a slow internet connection, imagine what would happen if there were 10 people on the same page with 10 sigs, that are 200kb/each = 1 mb++ (with other things, avatars etc.) = 20 seconds of load time @ my connection (50kbs). Simply no, and also it's not that hard to get it down to 70 kb, unless you want a HUGE gif.
